2019 WOMENS Div 2, Div 3 and Platinum Grade Registration and Trial Information Now Open

Harewood Hockey Club is pleased to open registrations for our open grade women’s programme. In 2019, CHA have determined the following criteria;

Division 2. Suitable for year 11 and above students as well as athletes aspiring to higher honors. The club has submitted an application requesting to enter 2 teams in this grade for 2019, depending on registrations and subject to approval.

Division 3. Open age grade, excluding year 9 and 10 students. A level below DIV 2 for year 11 and above who are still developing their skills.

Platinum. Open to players U18 years as at 01 January 2019. All year 9 and 10 students MUST play in the this grade which will include multiple levels.

All grades will be played on Sundays at various times and grounds across Christchurch.

Given the large numbers of players anticipated, we have split the trials into 2 sessions.

Session 1.  

Intended for players eligible for Platinum grade, who are still developing their skills, or those wanting to play Division 3. As a guide, if you played Platinum level 3 or below last year (Black and Green teams), or if you played in the primary competition last year in Division 2-5, or you played primary 6 aside last year, you should attend this session.

Thursday 7 March, 5pm – 7pm, Nunweek 2

Saturday 9 March, 10am -12 noon, Nga Puna Wai`

Session 2.

This session is open to players who played Platinum level 1 or 2 last year (Craig, Kim or Glen’s team) who meet the age criteria, or anyone who played DIV 2 last season not wishing to be in contention for Division 1.  Members of the Primary Red team (Libby and Iona) should also come to this session.

Thursday 28 February, 4-6pm Nga Puna Wai

Sunday 10 March, 10-12noon, Nga Puna Wai

If you played primary Division 2 or below and wish to trial for our higher grade platinum teams, please apply via email.  We have endeavored to avoid clashes with summer sport and school trials. It is important you attend both sessions.  Players are expected to be warmed and ready to play at the nominated start time.  Please ensure you prepare with warm clothes, sunblock, water and protective equipment.
