Subscription Elements

Your subscription includes an affiliation component for Hockey New Zealand (HNZ) and Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA). In making payment, you are agreeing to and are supported by the published terms, conditions, policies and codes of those organisations.

HNZ Affiliation Fee:

To register for the season, a compulsory fee set by NZH must be paid. We have no view of the makeup of this fee. This fee is age-based, per the table below. This mandatory fee must be paid at registration to PlayHQ. You will not be registered without paying this fee. This fee goes directly to Hockey New Zealand.

CHA & Club Component:

The CHA and Harewood Hockey Club components cover costs associated with the delivery and running of the competitions and your club for the season.  The club retains approximately 10% of this cost.

This portion of your fee is due 31 May 2025 unless payment instalments have been arranged. You will not be able to play after this date if you are not financial.

How to Pay

You will receive an email from Harewood with instructions to register for your team. Registration must be completed to play. Upon receiving this email, you can choose how to pay.

  1. Pay all fees in full at the time of registration through PLAYHQ

    You can pay the full amount (HNZ + CHA & Club Component with a credit card fee (2%)) via the PlayHQ platform at the time of registration.

  2. Set up payment instalments through PlayHQ.

    At the payment section of registration in PlayHQ, you can select to pay your subscription in instalments. The number of instalments and payment dates are provided to you at this time. At the time of registration, you will still be required to pay the HNZ affiliation fee, plus a 20% deposit of your club subscription.

    If you do not have credit card facilities to pay through PlayHQ, please contact harewoodhockey@gmail.com immediately for assistance.

    Subscriptions are due by 31 May each year.

Late payments will incur a $50 administration charge per person. Failure to pay or make an arrangement by the 3rd playing week of your competition (or 31 May, whichever falls first), will result in you being ineligible to participate.  The club reserves the right to recover costs.
