Subscription Elements

Your subscription includes an affiliation component for Hockey New Zealand (HNZ) and Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA). In making payment, you are agreeing to and are supported by the published terms, conditions, policies and codes of those organisations.

HNZ Affiliation Fee : To register for the season, a compulsory fee set by NZH must be paid. We have no view of the makeup of this fee. This fee is age based, per the below table. This mandatory fee must be paid at registration to PlayHQ. You will not be registered without paying this fee. This fee goes directly to Hockey New Zealand.

19 years and above $88

13 - 18 years old : $45

11 - 12 years old : $25

9 - 10 years old : $20

7 - 8 years old : $15

6 years and under : $0

CHA & Club Component : The CHA and Harewood Hockey Club components, cover costs associated with delivery and running of the competitions and your club for the season.  The club retains approximately 10% of this cost.

This portion of your fee is due 31 May 2025. You will not be able to play after this date if you are not financial.

How to Pay

You will receive an email from Harewood with instructions to register to your team. Upon receiving this, you can choose how to pay;

1. Credit Card Option: You can pay the full amount (NZ Hockey + CHA & Club Component with a credit card fee (2%) via the PlayHQ secure payment platform at the time of registration, or, you can choose to defer the CHA + Club fee portion only until 31 May 2025. The system will send you an automated reminder 7 days before the due date. You can also set up an instalment arrangemnet via PlayHQ.

2. Pay to Bank account. You can pay your Club + CHA component of your subscription directly to our bank account.

   The bank account details are HAREWOOD HOCKEY CLUB (INC) GENERAL ACCOUNT, 02-0816- 0274565-000. This is due in full by 31 MAY 2026, unless a payment arrangement is in place. You MUST put your surname and grade in the reference fields.

   Please note, you cannot pay the HNZ affiliation fee to the bank account. This must be paid via PlayHQ at the time of registration.

   If you do not have credit card facilities to pay the NZ Hockey Compulsory Fee, please contact harewoodhockey@gmail.com immediately for assistance.

Subscriptions are due by 31 May each year. If you need to make an arrangement to pay in instalments, you must do so on or before 1st May.

Late payments will incur a $50 administration charge per person. Failure to pay or make an arrangement by the 3rd playing week of your competition (or 31 May, whichever falls first), will result in you being ineligible to participate.  The club reserves the right to recover costs.
